Iranian Forces State Strike on US Base in the Kingdom of Bahrain, Amid Regional Counterattacks.

Tehran reports attacking a American military facility in Bahrain, as Iran launched strikes across the region in retaliation for a large-scale and continuing offensive against it by the United States and Israeli forces.

Huge plumes of black smoke were seen rising from an zone in the area of the command center of the American Fifth Fleet in Manama, Bahrain. The extent of any impact is not yet known and the United States has remained silent.

Airspace Engagements

In other parts of the Middle East, the UAE, Qatar and Kuwait - each hosting American military installations - reported they have shot down missiles in their airspace.

In the Qatari capital, the Qatari Ministry of Defence said it had intercepted several missiles apparently targeting the Al Udeid Air Base, the biggest US military installation in the region.

IRGC Statement

Iran's Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) declared it was striking American facilities and interests as part of operation "Truthful Promise 4", in response for the strikes on the Islamic Republic carried out by the US and Israel on Saturday.

That initial attack - executed at around 06:15 GMT - has so far targeted locations linked to the Iranian leadership, with President Trump encouraging the Iranian people to rise up against the regime.

Regional Fallout

In the State of Israel, sirens were heard across the country after the Israeli military reported it had detected an incoming Iranian missile barrage.

The Ministry of Defence of the UAE stated that the nation has been subjected to a "a blatant attack involving Iranian ballistic missiles".

"UAE air defence systems engaged the missiles with notable success and destroyed a series of missiles," it added.

The statement noted missile fragments landed in a residential area in the capital, resulting in some material damage and killing a civilian.

The United States Air Force operates from the Al Dhafra base, south of the Emirati capital, along with the UAE Air Force.
